Finn Moto Original Protective Motorcycle Hoodie
Kevlar Blend Outer Shell + Full Kevlar Lined
A protective motorcycle hoodie built for riders who want proper protection without wearing a bulky traditional motorcycle jacket.
The outer shell uses a black cotton/Kevlar® blended fleece and is fully lined with our proven 340gsm terry loop knitted DuPont™ Kevlar® liner — the same protective liner used in our 5 star MotoCAP rated Finn Moto 881 Motorcycle Jeans.
Using the EN13595:2002 abrasion test method (the same method used by MotoCAP), this hoodie achieved 5+ seconds abrasion resistance. Development testing of this material combination has shown even higher results.
OP Hoodie was independently tested by MotoCAP and achieved a 4-star rating.
For perspective, many casual motorcycle hoodies tested by MotoCAP sit closer to 0.5–2 seconds, while our previous model hoodie using a standard cotton fleece outer and 300gsm Kevlar® liner achieved around 3.5 seconds.
This updated version offers increased abrasion resistance, a stronger outer shell and improved long-term durability.
It also includes removable CE Level 2 armour in the shoulders, elbows and spine.
The fit is slightly longer through the torso for better coverage in a riding position while still feeling comfortable off the bike.

To ensure the jacket fits you perfectly we recommend measuring your actual chest and match it up with the above. (measurements are in inch's)
Dont have a dress tape measure? (use rope or power cord then measure point to point)
Fitting for XS to XL, if your Tshirt size is Large. Your chest should measure 42inch.
To double check how the large jacket will fit can grab a fitted yet comfortable jacket and measure across the chest under arm sleeves, it should be 24inch
Fitting for 2xl or higher, please measure your chest and match it up.
If your stomach is equal or larger than your chest measurement its best to go up one size.
For example Chest 50inch, Stomach 50inch you will be size 5xl
Tall customers:
The jacket is cut quite long in the torso for good coverage, if slim and tall you may get away with your true size
If you have an avg to large build and tall, its best to go up one size for length & broadness.
If your having problems working it out please email or call us, sales@finnmoto.com.au - 0405 247 408

Good Jacket with Comfort Caveats
Some initial impressions: - Cuffs are pretty tight so they irritate my hairy wrists so beware lol, another review mentioned they loosen up, fingers crossed they do. - Cuffs also rub against the bottom of my short-cuff gloves, not a huge deal but it does slightly bother me. Long-cuff gloves can fit over due to the jacket's tight cuffs, but I don't find this comfortable. - The hood itself gets in the way of wearing a backpack, doesn't make it impossible, but with a helmet on, it does noticeably push against the back of your head/neck. - If the hood was removable + cuffs loosen up, maybe even switch to a zipper style cuff so that they could fit over the gloves, it would instead turn into a jacket, but it would be perfect for an off-roader like myself! - Otherwise it's well-made and very safe as we know from Motocap, just has some caveats with comfort. If you're okay with what I mentioned then it's a great choice! Personally a bit mixed on keeping it.

Casual but safe
Great jacket that can be worn off the bike without sticking out like a sore thumb. About as safe as a textile jacket reasonably can be. Great initial quality and fits about right for large. Slightly snug around the forearms and waist band which keeps it from riding up, and the armour in place. I have only ridden in 5c-20c degree weather. A little cold 5c- 10c but not unbearable. Perfect between 10c-20 c and likely up to low 30c.

Soooo nice
Just got my hoodie in the post today. Shipped from Australia to the US (Kentucky) in about a week. Matt reached out to me before shipping to verify measurements, which is an excellent touch given how hard it is to judge sizes on motorcycle gear without a try on. Quality is outstanding, and the fit matches the provided size chart exactly. I'm usually a 2XL in hoodies, so I was nervous that the 3XL I chose might be too baggy but it's PERFECT. It's soft, flexible, and breathes. It IS heavy, but most of the weight is in the armor and quality fabrics he uses, so it's a reassuring weight if that makes sense? Waist and wrist cuffs are soft and snug the way they should be, and I didn't realize it when I ordered, but it's got a belt zip attachment in back to help keep it down in the event of a slide. At first I was disappointed by the lack of color choices, but the black will look great with the heat transfer vinyl graphics I've got ordered for the back. I can already tell it's going to be a favorite of mine, along with the 881 jeans I bought earlier this year. To boot, no other jacket I own rates this highly on Motocap. (CE ratings were created by manufacturers y'all, don't trust them to save your skin.) It's a stellar value, and a no brainer if you're in the market for something like this. Just measure yourself, trust the size chart, and order it. Cheers!

Jeans and hoodie
Great personalized advice, complete with photos and a comparison of measurements. Hoodie fits very well!

Excellent hoodie
This thing is quality! I typically wear an XL and sizing measurement put me as a large. The Large fits perfectly and form fitting! The armor has no play. The whole process of buying this was great as well. Matt emailed me confirming the size and measurements. I'm located in the USA, and delivery was smooth as well.

Love this hoodie
This has to be the comfiest riding hoodie that I have ever worn that is still armoured and will protect you in case of a spill. Super comfortable materials that feel good and also really breathable when moving. I could definitely feel the coolness of the air when moving. The fit is also really good when following Matt’s recommendation for these. The armour is very well placed and it’s hidden so other people can’t even see that there is armour in the hoodie so can be worn casually when riding off the bike. It is a very heavy hoodie though. I don’t mean heavy as in warm (it’s that too when you aren’t moving) but I mean heavy as in weight. It’s insanely heavy but I didn’t find it uncomfortable either. My friend who another brand armoured hoodie was very impressed with this one when he saw it and will definitely be getting one once his has reached end of life. Oh also it showed up super quick to the east coast of Canada once Matt had it out the door. We’re talking less than one week from Australia to Nova Scotia. Very impressive

Black Hoodie
Great quality hoodie, nice and tight on the cuffs and on the bottom to keep it in place. Nice heavy fabric, doesn't let the wind and the cold in whilst riding. Doesn't feel restrictive and allows full movement. I'll be wearing it for as long as the cold weather holds up!

Excellent
I usually don't leave reviews - but thought I would given the relative newness. This is an excellent quality hoodie, that is comfortable, and looks just like any other hoodie - perhaps except when looking closely at the back where the outline of the back protector is visible. The cotton is soft. Sizing: true to size. It's not a relaxed fit, but it's good. Pros: comfortable. Armour is surprisingly not that intrusive, you don't really notice it. Overall product feels very high quality. Cons: minor things I noted are: - The zipper doesn't have a 'pull' on it, which can make it difficult to operate when using motorcycle gloves - the cuffs come very tight - but after wearing it for 5 times or so it is getting more loose. - as would be expected, it is very heavy.
