History of the this saddlebag model: The original saddlebag model 512L was designed specifically for the Triumph Thunderbird, model 510L is the shorter version which is a beautifully constructed bag that ticks all the boxes fitting most medium to large cruiser motorbikes. Opens from the rear with chrome lock & Velcro reinforced sides. Large spacious inside with inside lid organiser with Velcro/zip/net pockets & elasticised net at side of main bag compartment. From end to end it measures 17inch with a 45degree angle (total length from rear bottom to front line is approx 20inch). Over the last few years we are continuously surprised how the saddlebag compliments various motorcycles with or without the external shock absorber; check through the images you will see it on a HD Street, Slim, Indian Scout, Honda Rebel, Kawasaki Vulcan 650s, Suzuki M109, Yamaha Roadliner, Stryker, Vstar & Triumph America, Thunderbird & Rocket 3. It will fit some small cruisers but be mindful the width of the bag is 7.5inch, most smaller bikes look best with 6.25inch width saddlebags.
If you find the 510L is too short and the 512L is too long, then the 511L is the perfect inbetween size. The width of the bag will be approx 7.75inch.

Note: the 510L seems to fit most cruiser motorcycles. On a large cruiser they look like conservative size saddlebags, On a medium cruiser they fill in the space and look 'minimalist / sleek' at the rear, on small cruisers they will mostly fill the full space and look in proportion from the rear. For example the Kawasaki 650 S will fit the 510L very and the width is equal to the rear fender which is acceptable. Fitting the 510L Slim will give a sleeker look when looking behind. If your bike has a narrow rear guard and tyre such as Honda Rebel choosing the 510L slim will be better.
Depending on the location you choose for your bags, as well as the mounting system you use, in some cases, although not listed above, turn signal relocation and other modifications may be required. Please make sure to always leave enough clearance to accommodate for your exhaust, suspension and other vital motorcycle components.
