    Great Balaclava

Posted by Karl on 10th Jun 2021

Really good quality and feels good. Haven't tried it in Tassie's winter yet but I'm sure it will be great. :)

    Great product

Very happy with this. It takes my Bell MX9 adventure from a summer and early autumn helmet, to being usable right through winter in the central coast of NSW.

    Motorcycle Windproof Balaclava

Posted by Jim on 25th Jan 2020

I haven't yet worn this balaclava 'in anger' (it's wet-season in the tropics) but the product seems well-made and of good quality materials. By late March I should be in the Snowy region and will shortly afterwards have a better idea how this item performs.

    keeps you warm

Posted by Prem on 25th Jun 2018

I got tired of using scarf to wrap around my neck on cold morning so ordered the balaclava to give it a try. I'm quite impressed how well it blocks the wind from getting anywhere in and around the neck area. The average size is a bit too loose for my liking even though I think my head is probably on the larger side of the average which makes slipping my well fitting helmet on a bit harder and I would probably order small size. Perhaps some size indication like head diameter would help with the size choice.

    balaclava does as intended

Posted by kat on 4th May 2015

This is a pretty good product that does break the wind from entering around the neck area. I tried it out, riding on a cold wet day and the only issue I have is rather than one size fits all it would be better for smaller people such as myself is because there is some excess fabric bunching under chinstrap of helmet. that being said I can still see I will wear it throughout winter.

    Great Value

Posted by Aligator on 4th Sep 2014

This product is great because unlike other similar balaclavas it is not heavy and most importantly I can breath with it over my nose and mouth. Winter chills are a thing of the past and I believe that it will also be great in the summer months.

    Very happy

Posted by Supa on 30th Jul 2014

So it's my first winter with riding a bike, hitting the freeway at 10pm at night was just too hard. I bought one of these balaclavas from Finnmoto and reading through the reviews I was quite confident that it would do the job. Turns out, these balaclavas really are the best winter gear I have bought so far. I don't know how cold it was on the road here around Newcastle NSW, but it felt freezing before I bought it, now though.. No problems! I recommend this balaclava to anyone riding in the cold. I don't know how it separates the freezing cold from one side to the other, but it doesn't let anything through, great product.

    Balaclava protection

Posted by Glenn on 19th Jul 2013

I have been using the Balaclava for 25 days for daily commuting. My average ride time is 35 min in the early morn and 40 min in the afternoon. A significant portion of the commute is done in Highway conditions. The temperature over this period has averaged out at between 9.6 and 7.2 C with the lowest recorded temp of 5.3 C. I use a Shoei XR 1100 helmet. The Balaclava has performed well, maintaining comfort and warm throughout the period. The fit and finish of the item is good with well made seams. The seams lay flat and appear to have been overlocked create a durable join. Whilst the material is thin it works well at retaining warmth under the helmet. In summary the Balaclava represents good value for money and provides good insulation so that rider comfort is maintained. Whilst not adequate for severe low temps it is very effective for average winter temps in and around Sydney.
